Just Around the Corner

Yesterday my mom was driving me home from my eye appointment, since moms are cool and love to take care of you when you go home [well...mine does at least...but I know not everyone's may be cool like that :( ]. As we were turning into our subdivision, she said, "It's so interesting looking at the faces of people who are waiting to turn onto the main road...their faces are so stressed, they're just waiting for their turn and feeling stressed."

How true it is. We've all been waiting and waiting, waiting for our turn to get onto that road. While we wait, we wait in agony, we wait in the stress of the unknown. We don't know when our turn will come, and we don't know what's around the bend in the road when we do finally make our way onto it.

We are so very thankful to God for our BFP on Sunday morning...I've never had a positive HPT (heck, I even used to get excited about OPKs, since I'd never seen two lines on a peestick in my life!). Just getting a positive HPT is a huge breakthrough for us.

But I'm also nervous - I've been cramping since last week (which is why I was so sure I'd be getting my period on Sunday), and I'm out of Canada and have no insurance here. I don't know what's around the corner for me. I went in for my betas today and am anxiously waiting for the call from the doctor's office tomorrow (but not so anxiously waiting for my bill).

I'm overwhelmed by your comments and so grateful to all of you who have dropped by and congratulated us...I had no idea that many people were even reading me! Thank you so much for your support...please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we wait for the betas to come back tomorrow.

I had cramping. And this sounds totally stupid. But it was .. .

constipation. Felt the same as menstrual cramps. Exactly the same. And it was like my body said "wow, pregnant. stop everything. Including your intestines."

Hoping that's all it is.

I had cramping and I still do. I worried like shit and I still do.

Praying for you and have you in my thoughts, always.

(((hugs))))

I hope the cramping turns out to be nothing! Keeping you in my thoughts.

I have had cramping every single time, even this time which would be considered my "successful" pregnancy. When you feel scared, think of all the major stuff going on in there-- it makes sense that your uterus would be a little agitated.

We are all here for you and are tremendously excited! You're pregnant!!

I had cramping with my first pregnancy. I was a mess, I was SURE I was miscarrying. I think I called my OBGYN 30 times.....but apparently it was normal. Something about implantation.

Big hugs!!

cramping is so normal!! I had BRUTAL cramps right after finding out, i woke up at night cause they were so bad. So don't worry, they happen to a lot of women.

I can't wait to see those bets numbers!

I will be praying for you! I've talked to some women who now have beautiful healthy babies and they said they had some cramping early in their pregnancies, so I will pray that is the case for you as well :-)

Mild cramping is completely normal at this stage. Good luck and lots of prayers coming your way.

I totally get excited when I see two lines on a pee stick. If I ever get a positive HPT test I will problably frame it!

I think the cramping just means the baby is settling in!

I cramped for oh, 12-14 weeks or so? Hard to remember, now, but it's probably just uterine stretching, those ligaments getting ready. If, however, it's strong, please don't hesitate to call ytour dr.
