A White Halloween?

I thought that only in Canada could it snow before Halloween...but Jess and Sarah got snow today too! I fully agree with Sarah...why in the world is it snowing already?? I'm already popping out of my winter coat, but I was hoping I would have had a little longer till I had to go buy a new one. While I do enjoy the magic of the first snow, I hate winter in general. I used to hate winter when I lived in the South too, but that type of weather is actually known as fall here! So you can imagine how not so thrilled I am that winter has gotten a nice head start already.

I'm very slowly catching up on my blog reading and commenting...I apologize if I haven't dropped by your blog in a long time. While I am thankfully feeling significantly better than before, I still have yucky moments and am generally tired most of the time. But I'm getting there, slowly but surely. I've been eating real foods, which is thrilling. I still can't stand any ethnic food (which wouldn't matter if we weren't "ethnic" ourselves :), but I am tolerating blander, less spicy foods pretty well. And I'm finally on the positive side for weight gain! I'm now at +1 lbs - I finally regained the weight I had lost early on. All the books suggest that weight gain prior to 20 weeks for a twin pregnancy is what's most important...so I have 6 weeks in which to try to gain a lot of weight. :)

It is good to hear from you and I am so glad we recently moved south sp that I am NOT seeing any of the white stuff!!!

It's too cold here for my tastes. I also strongly dislike winter. I can't imagine living up north!! It usually snows here once a year and then we only get about 2 or 3 inches on the ground. But at the rate we're going now we might see it more often this year.

I'm glad you are starting to feel better. What kind of ethnic food do you like? I would hate to not be able to eat Mexican food, but I guess it wouldn't matter too much if I didn't have an appetite for it. Have fun eating and gain that weight!!

glad to see your feeling better! We had snow on monday, nothing that suck thank god. I like when you get a big snow storm and you are stuck in the house, and you snuggle on the cough and watch movies and drink hot chocolate. The next day it needs to melt and go away!!

I just read your "meanest comment someone has ever said to me" remark on "Naturally Knocked Up" and definitely think that was one of the craziest things I have ever heard in my life. What the heck did you say back to that person? What a freak!

I've found I like winter better once I changed my attitude about it. I have also discovered skiing, snow-shoeing and warm winter clothes which make life in the cold SO much better.
I'm hoping you start packing on the pounds to keep those babies healthy!!

I feel lucky if we ever get snow way down here. I'm jealous.

I am up 6 pounds now. I have finally stopped feeling guilty about it. The doctor has reassured me that the babies are growing, and they are measuring right on target. I wouldn't stress about it too much.

are you really in the 2nd trimester already?? Congratulations! I'm glad to hear food is starting to appeal to you again :)

I'm actually enjoying the cold weather, though all i've seen for snow are flakes in the air - no ground cover. I"m working on hubby to see if we can make a backyard skating rink this year. We did adult learn-to-skate lessons last year (yes, I'm Canadian born & bred but never officially learned to skate!)

I don't know if you like them, but I tagged you in a meme if you'd like to play!

I can't believe it's snowing already! Here in Tennessee, we won't see much of that until January or February!

Glad to hear that you are feeling better! :)

My parents live in western NC and got snow the other day. Boo snow! Of course, here in Charleston, SC it's in the 60's right now and due to get into the lower 70's. Love Charleston!

I'm glad that you're beginning to feel better and able to put some weight back on! My doctor's suggested Carnation instant breakfast daily. They also said to make smoothies out of it.

Keep up the good work!
